What is a Minecraft proxy server?
A proxy such as BungeeCord or Velocity sits in front of your Minecraft servers. Players connect to one address and can move between your lobby, survival, minigame and other backend servers without disconnecting. This is how almost every Minecraft network is built.
Budget or Premium proxy?
A proxy mainly forwards connections, so it needs little memory: 512 MB to 2 GB is enough for most networks. Budget proxy plans start at €0.50 per month and suit small networks with a few backend servers. Premium proxy plans add more CPU cores, more ports to connect backend servers, an extra database for shared player data and more backups, for growing public networks.
